It was built by Asa D. Hodgkins, contractor, and designed by William Ralph Emerson, architect. It replaced an earlier building, called "The White Church" and burned in 1942.

The other young man is George Riddell, son of Jock Riddell who is also in the Rabbit Feed photo. It was a close-knit bunch and there were many boyhood memories of those times.
