The Jayne Cottage was designed in the Shingle Style by Boston architect William Ralph Emerson and built in 1887-1888. The original owner was Dr. Horace Jayne. The house burned in 1947. This stereoscopic view is stamped E. Emery, Bar Harbor, Maine and is labeled Mrs. Jayne.
